Origins of Kimbanda

During the period of slavery, the bantos the two groups (revolutionaries and evangelized) made contact with groups Tupi-Guarani, which also among the Indians, there were two groups with affinity groups to bantos: Indians wizards not accept the saints (if identifying with the devil) and the Indians evangelized who liked the idea of syncretism of saints. These groups have joined together to do their magic separately, that is, the black and white bantos contrary to the holy wizards with the Indians, and blacks bantos evangelized with the Indians evangelized.
Hence the emergence of two parallel and opposing currents that would be known in Brazil as Umbanda - the cult of black and caboclos evangelized, and Kimbanda - the cult of black and caboclos who did not accept live below the foot of the white God, is combining the Diablo (the enemy of the white) and with Exu (one who also was regarded as a devil). Moreover, we say that, over time, the slaves killed when the two groups, they are called and incorporated through trance by their descendants, the principle in Macumba, then in Umbanda. However, all the spirits came in the same terrace without much differentiation and confusing to the groups. What the descendants of slaves least wanted was to be called Satanists or macumbeiros therefore have to insurgents groups below the foot of the groups evangelized and Kimbanda stuck as a sub-line of Umbanda. But the spirits themselves if given him the separation And today we can say without doubt that there are two religions and different parallel: the Umbanda - where even the spirits of Black and Guides Caboclos evangelized, dressed in white, humble, who believe in saints and the deities, which does not make sacrifices of animals, who do evil, etc., and Kimbanda - where even the spirits of Black and Guides Caboclos who work for good or evil, with sacrifices of animals, luxury, pride, and revolution who do not believe in Saints Church, defenders of all that is African, and accept the Orisá and Nkisis.
It said that the followers of different branches of Umbanda adopt and adapt the two lines (Umbanda-kimbanda) according to the precepts and the influences majority of its House of Religion. For example, those who make Umbanda White (no blood) put the kimbanda below the same and continue practicing without sacrifices of blood for Exus. Those who do worship the Orìsá Yoruba people and also engage in Umbanda, given the influence iorubans, look in Umbanda as a cult in Kimbanda the ancestors (or Line of Souls) submitted to the Orisá, making for the ancient rituals of sacrifices (fundamental principle of this culture).
Today, we can say that if freed Kimbanda of Umbanda, with a separate worship only for Exu of Kimbanda and outside the Umbanda.

The Law of Kimbanda

The Law of Kimbanda comes from Bantus, the Angola-Congo peoples. The "misturança" (mixture), or we can say "syncretism" between the Yoruba-Exu, the Ngangas and Tatás (kimbandeiros souls of heads of nations bantas) was what has that air of confusion in people, even many that are "made in kimbanda, "do not understand, or what is worse, treating it in a devil. Indeed, the Exu of kimbanda is not the Exu-Yoruba (Orixá or Imalé that culture). The spirits who come in line with kimbanda are spirits of Ngangas or Tatás, who incarnates when the earth were worshippers of some priests bantos Nkisi or Npungu.
In Brazil, the cult to Npungus and Nkisis through their messengers - the Ngangas - was mixed into slavery with the cult to Enchanted and pajés (Tupi-guarani culture) and also with the Iorubás, emerging the following new cults, fruit the mix: Makumba - which comes from "ma-kiumba" (spirits of the night). It was thus called the most primitive worship sincretista in southern Brazil (and the first originated in Brazil), given their greater preponderance Bantu, that is what we descended the other african-Brazilian cults of nations with influence Angola-Congo, Tupi-guarani, and Nagô Church, in that order. The reason to draw makiumba (soon after by misrepresentation of the word would be makumba or macumba) was precisely because it is a cult that is the night where it should necessarily draw the spirits of the night (souls of other priests of the cult - or Eguns Ancestors). In the cult iorubano-nagô know themselves and surrender to worship the Ancestors-Egun, but they are away from the rituals Orixás, trying to have a contact with another kind of energy. This contributed to the rituals where they called the eguns were overlooked, misunderstood and treated pejoratively. Moreover, the Church also condemned the cult influence with Indian-Bantu where drunk and was supposedly "orgies". Indeed, the dances were Bantus in Brazil and are still in Africa, quite erotic, and it is also true that the Guides drink and smoke, but is too distant to be an orgy or a drunker. Then, when the groups of nations began to seek his identity, divided up the main components of makumba, appearing: Candomblé of Angola; Candomblé of Congo; Candomblé Caboclo, or the Charmed; Catimbó - all looking for a cultural root -- And also, the end of the nineteenth century arise from urban macumba, (which had much participation of poor whites and the descendants of slaves) to Umbanda and Kimbanda with influences for the Spiritism and with very syncretism. In Kimbanda, remained largely to the cult of the nation Ngangas Angola-Congo, but mixed with the devil (the influence of myths and taboos of their own members - who were not aware of the origins) and also below the foot of Orixá Yoruba Exu.
The Kimbanda has seven kingdoms and its organization of the remaining organizations in tribal kingdoms in Africa Banto. Each Kingdom is composed of nine people of Exu, and each nation is commanded by a Chief Exu. In each kingdom there are 9 people, with a total of 63 people from Exú.
