Iniciation and Rites in Kimbanda

These powers are conferred by Exu, and do not match the initiatory degrees. These powers are conferred gradually in accordance with the working time and the type of entity or exu will assume the head of the medium. There are no degrees in the initiatory Kimbanda which there are initiations rites, such as:
- The Ritual Sealing or Lacre - The medium built for his exu is shorn in the arm with a needle - we use disposable needles for reasons of hygiene and safety.
- The bath of Amacis - Amacis are herbs and concoctions that are ready for the bath medium as the rite to be performed.
- The Baptism of Blood - Made with animal sacrifice. Contrary to what many think, ritually sacrificed animals do not suffer at all. Are washed, consecrated and sacrificed, as if we were to kill an animal to eat. All done in an environment of safety and hygiene. And it does not mean a bloodbath we see in many cults who do not know or do not know the ritual sacrifice of animals.
- The Rite of Aprontamento and Settlement of Exu - This settlement is in fact secret, as regards the manner of its preparation, only taught from Master to Disciple.
- The Rite of Seven: Gives powers to the medium to transport, materialization of witchcraft. It's a Secret Ritual too.
